First full day in Nashville we headed to the Country Music Hall of Fame. We met up with George who was our guide to the RCA Studio B. RCA Studio B was the studio where many famous singers recorded 1958 to 1971. Singers like Roy Orbison, Everly Brothers, Dolly Parton, Port Wagoner, Waylon and Willie, Jim (Ed) Brown and Elvis Presley. One of the interesting stories was that when Elvis came in to record that he came in late at night and worked all night long.
This are all the records that Elvis recorded in RCA Studi B. This X on the floor I am standing on was where the singers stood while recording. I tried to sing a version of Jail House Rock but wasn’t invited back to record. This Steinway and Sons Piano was the very Piano that Elvis played during his recording for such famous songs like “It’s Now or Never,” and his gospel “How Great Thou Art.” The story is Elvis wanted that Piano for Graceland. He was told no and here it is still standing in RCA Studio B. We sat and listened to his actual recording in that studio.

As a matter of fact, yes we have. And many times!
