Another morning of bird watching on Wendy’s patio before starting the day.  We went to Featherdale Wildlife Park in Blacktown.  Sydney’s ultimate interactive wildlife experience.  The Park is conveniently located just 40 minutes from Sydney’s CBD and is en route to the famous blue Mountains.  It was such a great place to view the wild life and birds that are native to Australia.  Lance, Wendy and I spent the day up close and personal with Koalas, Kangaroos and many other critters.  We had a nice lunch and then Wendy drove us to the train station and we caught a train back to Sydney.  Tomorrow we will drive to Lightning Ridge in search of the “Opal Bug.”

This was a very strange looking bird.  The next picture notice his eyelashes…I wish mine were like that.
